Boxer was kind enough to let me drive his 575 at the weekend. It's a beautiful example and feels very nice and tight.

Thank you but I love my 575. Just getting her back after some winter TLC.

And your lovely 308 is what started me on a road that may reach it's conclusion in the next few days

An interesting thing to note, when I drove Boxer's car (built just a few months after mine, otherwise almost identical spec) I noticed the gearlever felt longer. I thought I may have been wrong but looking at these photos it does appear to be the case.. anyone cast any light on this? Should we all compare the length of our shifters??

Your 575 must be the track version with the short shift and mine the pure GT

I think that on the day they built my car Luigi had a big lunch and couldnt muster the strength to carry the longer piece of metal so opted for the short one

Probably a Friday, they needed to finish three cars but only had a long enough piece for two regular sticks so they decided on making a special run of three short shift sport 575s.
