I tried to enter the serial number data into the registry, but for some reason it wouldn't take. I was able to upload the photo in the pictures section on this site for 375 America. If you follow my previous posts you'll see I've been trying to find the current owner since 2002, the car was discussed (and shown) in a number of books noted in some of the forum responses. I check for any new leads about once a year...I appreciate your interest.

I take no credit for this, but searching I've found this info, from one of the very best if not the most authorities on such: Mr. Marcel Massini - EU/AL 1995 while owned by Dennis Machul. - Joe Fitch in SoCal up to Oct '05, painted Blue, I believe. Mr. Massini's history: Born as a 250 Europa. NEVER owned by Steve McQueen!!! Complete nonsense. Don't believe websites...... Chassis number suffix changed by the factory from “EU” to “AL”. Engine enlarged by the factory from 250 Europa (3 liter) to 375 America (4.5 liters). Original exterior color: Black with tan soft top (plus a detachable hardtop). Original interior color: Black. Chassis type 103 (type 250 Europa). Wheelbase 2800 mm. Engine type 103 (type 250 Europa), transformed by factory into type 104 (375 America). Engine block #0353 AL, internal #0108. Chassis identification plate shows “0353 EU”. Gearbox type 103-104, internal #54 D. Rear axle type 103, internal #58 D. One-off alloy body by Vignale. Designed by Giovanni Michelotti. Wraparound panoramic windscreen. - Dec 16, '08 Today 0353 AL is all BLACK and has a purple interior. - TODAY: In a private collection, Far East. Guide to the Galaxy: Don't Panic Rik -- LAH ! PS: I see by your posts that you have some original documents. I know Mr. Massini would be highly interested in at the least getting a scan of such documents. BUT: DO NOT GIVE ANYONE but THE CURRENT OWNER THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Including Mr. Massini If you need additional assistance on getting the original owner let me know. I would probably need a fax or scan of the doc for review then can let you know. rik Guide to the Galaxy: Don't Panic Rik -- LAH ! Best info I've got in a while. The car was bought by my father in 1954 for $2,000, imported to Los Angeles from Milan, restored and exhibited. It was sold in 1975, to Wayne Golumb. Other accounts had it possibly in Ohio subsequent to 1975. I still have most of the original documentation from the restoration. Thanks for your assistance.

Sounds like a lot of data.....I know of many persons who would be interested in at least seeing pictures or scans or such of that data. NOT to mention, Ferrari themselves, of which we have some dealing in this area. Would it be possible, or perhaps too much effort, to get copies. Would be willing to pay. Very nice story, thanks for this, please let me know either way. rik Guide to the Galaxy: Don't Panic Rik -- LAH ! I'll try to scan some of the data and send. Might take a while. I took some of the info to T. Shaughnessy a couple of years back for him to look at. My thoughts are that the information should stay with the car.

Stay with the car: Absolutely Brad and FofSF have original docs and he has posted them to any current owner. I just finished scanning all my 456 docs. Interesting story on your father. Sound like you had an interesting life. I know families can be, 'interesting', but it does sound nice. Quite a car for your father to have had at that time, as it was expensive then and now, well, up in the six figures, near 900-1mill area. rik Guide to the Galaxy: Don't Panic Rik -- LAH !
